- The east half (our side) of the bridge will close April 15th. The other half will remain open.
- They will be doing some minimal vegetation clearing around the bridge.
- Street or sidewalk closures:
- They will close a parts of 6th Street for dedicated parking for workers.
- This includes the cul-de-sac adjacent to the east bridge entry.
- Walking/biking trails and Father Hennepin Park should remain open unless a safety concern arises.
- No planned impact on Main St SE.
Hennepin and First roadway improvements (Hennepin County)
- Work has already begun (you may have noticed the poles being installed as temporary traffic signal supports).
- The start of major work is schedule for April 1.
- At that time traffic will do down to one lane on the affected parts of Hennepin and First.
- Major work is expected to be compete by Nov this year, with follow-on landscaping work happening in Spring 2025.
